  1. Great place to stay

Well designed apartment at the bottom of a 1930's (?) building. The flat has three large bedrooms and two bathrooms. The carpark and the beautiful small garden is private and solely for the usage of this apartment's tenants. There is a large dinning table outdoor and a few sofas away from everybody's eyes. Actually if you dont look up, you cant really feel that you are at the groundfloor of a building. It feels like a villa. There were bikes + a BBQ pit we did not get to use but a nice touch anyway. The apartment is well-decorated with expensive materials / fittings. The owners have very good taste and put proper money to redesign this flat. The immediate neighborhood is fairly high-end, private, quiet and safe. There is a supermarket 5' walk nearby / same for the bread shop. We were nicely welcomed by a polite young French chap who spoke proper English. There is nothing to complain about on the apartment side. 10/10. Once you walk towards the nearest beach, I was fairy disappointed. The buildings are very 1980's and not that beautiful (kind of suburbia) . At night time it gets easier on the eye and lively with shops / bars / restaurants. The nearest beaches (basically all the beaches before Hotel Belles Rives) were also fairly ugly. Lots of private beach clubs renting squeezed chaise longue at USD 40 a pop. We were 5... and not super keen to pay USD 200 to sit on a tiny rocky beach with unappealing water color... On my first walk out to the beach I was depressed. However we decided to explore the other side of Juan les Pins / Antibes and found the old city which is beautiful and very much what I want to see / feel when I am in France. We also found two public beaches that were a lot more beautiful. I recommend la Plage Salis (Salis Beach) which is sandy (almost white sand), clean nice blue water, no ugly plastique chairs to rent, just a nice atmosphere. Good for family / singles. It is 15' walk from the apartment and definitely worth the nice walk.
